The data from the Air Conditioning Contractors of America’s (ACCA) 2020 Market Survey shows that the most popular HVACs used by construction firms in the United States are split system heat pumps, rooftop units, and ductless mini-split systems. Among the brands in each category, Trane has seen the greatest growth in usage over the past five years with a 50% increase. Other popular brands include Carrier (40%), Daikin (25%), Lennox (20%), and Goodman (15%). Rheem, Mitsubishi, York, Ruud, American Standard, Heil, Bryant, and AccuTemp each saw smaller increases in usage ranging from 5-10% to 1%.

Overall, the data indicates that the HVAC market has seen steady growth in the United States over the past five years, with split system heat pumps and rooftop units seeing the most growth.
