Last week, BuildOps reached a new milestone in our mission to support commercial contractors across North America. We opened our third hub—and first East Coast headquarters—in Raleigh, North Carolina. The announcement sparked national headlines and highlighted just how much demand there is for technology built for the trades.

Below is a look at some of the coverage and why it matters to the contractors building the future.

The Headlines

Our Official Announcement

We shared the news with our full press release:

BuildOps Accelerates East Coast Expansion with New Raleigh Hub, Creating 250+ Jobs

Why This Expansion Matters

Closer Support for East Coast Contractors

From Boston to Miami, commercial contractors have been growing fast, and many have told us they want boots on the ground. Raleigh gives us the proximity to offer faster support, deeper partnerships, and a direct line to the people in the field who keep hospitals, schools, and businesses running.

New Jobs, New Opportunities

The new hub will create nearly 300 jobs across product, engineering, sales, and customer success—with salaries averaging over $110,000. For the contractors who rely on BuildOps, this means more talent dedicated to refining, supporting, and improving the platform you use every day.

A Vote of Confidence in the Trades

While much of the tech industry is slowing down, this move is about doubling down—on the skilled trades, on American infrastructure, and on helping contractors do their best work.

“When you’re growing this fast and your customers are crushing it with your platform, you don’t play it safe," said BuildOps CEO Alok Chanani. "You double down, you expand, and you make sure every contractor in America knows there’s finally tech built just for them that actually works.”

What Leaders Are Saying

From city and state officials to local economic developers, everyone emphasized how this moment reflects both Raleigh’s momentum and the larger need for innovation in construction:

“North Carolina offers companies like BuildOps a deep pool of tech talent. We welcome this veteran-owned business to North Carolina.” — Governor Josh Stein

“Raleigh is an economic driver. It’s where businesses know they can come and be successful.” — Kyle Touchstone, Director of Raleigh Economic Development

The Road Ahead

This expansion marks another step toward a future where contractors have technology that keeps pace with their demands. Whether it’s keeping buildings cool during record heat or helping teams tackle complex projects, our commitment stays the same: delivering tools worthy of the trades.
