East Coast energy. Real talent. And a city that’s just getting started.
“There’s a kind of factor that’s hard to capture with data… the vibe, the energy of the people here—it was just dramatically different.”— Alok Chanani, CEO of BuildOps
On October 1st, we officially cut the ribbon on our new East Coast headquarters in Raleigh, bringing with it nearly 300 new jobs and a long-term commitment to a city we believe in.
Why Raleigh?
We looked at cities across the country. Raleigh wasn’t just competitive—it stood out.
- Talent density: With incredible universities like NC State, Duke, and UNC, the engineering and product talent here is world-class.
- Supportive ecosystem: The city welcomed us with open arms, from the Mayor’s office to local partners.
- Cultural fit: This is a city that knows how to build. There’s grit here. Curiosity. A spirit we felt aligned with.
“It was just hands-down a no-brainer,” Alok said in the interview. “The vibe and energy here—it felt different. And that matters.”
What This Means for Raleigh
We’ll be hiring across engineering, product, go-to-market, and support roles. Over time, we expect the economic impact to exceed $87 million for the region.
We’re Just Getting Started
BuildOps is on a mission to power the people who build our world. From commercial HVAC and plumbing to electrical and fire safety, our customers keep hospitals running, data centers online, and cities growing. We’re proud to build the tech that helps them thrive.
And now, part of that journey runs through Raleigh.
